What We Offer
Services Built Around Your Piano
Every instrument is assessed individually. Hoz recommends only what your piano genuinely needs — nothing more.
Service 01
Standard Tuning
The foundation of a well-maintained piano
Regular tuning is the single most important thing you can do for your piano. Over time, string tension changes due to temperature, humidity, and natural settling — causing the instrument to drift from pitch. Using precision electronic measurement and trained aural tuning, Hoz brings your piano back to A440 concert pitch, or to your preferred pitch standard.
- Full pitch assessment before and after
- Tuning to A440 concert pitch (or custom pitch)
- Minor regulation adjustments as needed
- Written condition report
Recommended frequency
Every 6–12 months for home pianos. Every 3–6 months for schools and professional venues.
From £65
Service 02
Concert Tuning & Regulation
Performance-ready precision
Concert tuning demands a higher standard — multiple passes, pitch stability under performance conditions, and meticulous action regulation. Hoz has trained under world-class tuners at Yamaha and works regularly with professional venues and recording studios. Your instrument will be prepared to the highest possible standard.
- Multi-pass concert tuning
- Full action regulation
- Hammer alignment and voicing
- Pedal mechanism check
- Performance readiness report
Recommended frequency
Before every performance or recording session.

Service 03
Voicing
Shape the tone to suit your playing
Voicing adjusts the tonal quality of your piano — the character of the sound, not just the pitch. A piano that sounds harsh or bright can be softened; one that sounds dull or muffled can be brightened. Achieved by carefully needling or hardening the felt hammer heads, voicing is a skilled, gradual process — Hoz works incrementally to achieve the tone you're looking for.
- Tonal assessment across the full keyboard
- Hammer voicing (needling or hardening)
- Even tone balance across registers
- Before-and-after comparison
Recommended frequency
Typically every 2–4 years, or when tone quality changes noticeably.
From £45 (when combined with tuning)
